Mirroring her love for structural elements in her designs, Roma’s trajectory from fashion intern to concept jewellery designer has been similarly linear as she moved up from strength to strength. Having graduated with a BA in Fashion from Central Saint Martins College of Art & Design, she interned under international fashion juggernaut, Manish Arora. She eventually moved to Milano in 2013 to attain a Master’s degree at the Istituto Marangoni in Fashion & Luxury. 

Today, she looks back at her first foray into designing jewellery as a stroke of serendipity. “I was getting married in the March of 2016, and my mom was gathering all her old saris and baubles. I came across this hair bun cage with stones on it and decided to recreate it by adding my own spin to the design so I could wear it for one of the ceremonies. I decided to experiment with designing more pieces and created a small first collection. The rest, as they say, is history,” she recalls.
